The University of California at San Francisco will go completely tobacco free as of September 3, 2013. HERE is an insightful video commentary. As Stan Glantz says, “UCSF is a 21st century institution and tobacco use is a 20th century artifact that we’re leaving behind”.
The FDA Center for Tobacco Products has developed new guidance for the tobacco industry:  Compliance with Regulations Restricting the Sale and Distribution of Cigarettes and Smokeless Tobacco To Protect Children and Adolescents. This guidance is intended to assist manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and others who sell cigarettes and/or smokeless tobacco in understanding the final regulations and explain what they should do in order to comply.
